Award: Best innovation project of 2018

Chroma is a project focusing on possible interactions between video games and connected lightbulbs. Several video games are using these accessories for cosmetic purpose, whereas this project aimed to further explore their usage for gameplay purpose.

To further help the communication between games and lightbulbs, we created a library in C# with the help of .NET framework. Games were created with the Unity engine. I mainly worked on that latter part, contributing to the gameplay programming as well as game design and, when necessary, level design.

Our work on exploring and analyzing these mechanics, backed by multiple playtesting sessions organized with voluntary players, as well as the quality of our work helped Chroma to be distinguished as the best innovation project of 2018.
